Forest Ray – Seattle psych folk n’ roll @ Hoops
Join us on Friday, June 19th from 7:00 – 10:00pm @HoopsYakima for Rock & Folk Music with Forest Ray!
Seattle based folk n’ roll band, Forest Ray, has been described as “spaced-out, down to earth, Brit-pop gone country” and sounds like “the band covering Beatles songs no one knew existed”. Led by Croatian-American songwriter, Peter Sumić, They have released six full-length albums and tour the US, Canada and Europe regularly, making a name for themselves as one of Seattle’s most prolific and hardest-working bands. When not performing with the full band, Peter often performs stripped down-raw versions of his original music”
“The new album from the Seattle outfit is a solid blend of Americana, psych and indie-rock. Peter Sumic’s classic storytelling style is driven by a rich sonic tapestry of guitar, mandolin, banjo, pedal steel, harmonica and percussion, making Windf**er* feel like a perfect companion for a long, dusty road trip.”— Chris Sanley, Program Director at KEXP
